What sets our eggs apart from the store?
Our hens are fully free-range on our farm, except for our garden of course! Our hens have free choice to GMO-free grain mixed specifically for laying hens and grown and processed by a local farm (RT Hart & Son). Due to our farms' woodland location, they are frequently making their rounds through the forest and picking up on all sorts of bugs. This way, they pick up on all sorts of micronutrients that go into the eggs that otherwise would not be eaten. The hens also nibble on our oats and clover that we have planted. They also eat all sorts of treats such as the occasional mouse, small snakes, and some kitchen scraps. These are happy, well-fed, hens.

*We do not yet offer purebreds, but I can choose specifically which egg colors I hatch for you, what breed of hens laid the egg, and have a fairly good guess of what color the offspring will lay. I use data from the wonderful Silver Homestead*
